Appealing Your Property Taxes
If you are appealing your own condominium, small apartment, mixed-use building, or family business property, you may represent yourself or you may hire an attorney. Counsel must represent corporations.

Apply for Exemptions
Property Tax Exemptions are deductions applied to the value of your home after the total tax has been calculated based on assessment and local tax rate. You will find this calculation on the right hand side of the second installment of your Property Tax Bill under “Tax Calculator.” If you own your home or have a lease or contract that makes you responsible for the real estate taxes, review your tax bill for the exemptions to which you might be entitled.
